PipeAid Joins NASSCO

If you work in sewer inspections, you’ve probably heard the acronym NASSCO more times than you can count. PACP. LACP. MACP. Scores, grades, and standardized language that form the backbone of inspection programs across the country.

While PipeAid is newly joined as a NASSCO member, NASSCO-certified technicians have been part of our team since day one. From the start, our work has been shaped by the same standards utilities rely on in the field, long before our membership became official.

So, when we say PipeAid is now a NASSCO member, this isn’t just a logo update or a line item on a credentials list. It’s a reflection of how we think inspection data should work, and how it should support better decisions.

Standards Matter Especially When Decisions Are on the Line

Municipal utilities and engineering teams rely on NASSCO standards because they create consistency. When inspection data follows a common framework, it becomes easier to compare conditions, explain priorities, and defend capital decisions.

Our work sits downstream of inspections… at the point where data needs to move from observation to action. Being a NASSCO member reinforces something we’ve believed from day one:

Better decisions don’t come from more data. They come from well-structured, standardized data that’s easy to use.

We’re Not Here to Change the Rules — Just Make Them Easier to Use

PipeAid isn’t trying to replace LACP/PACP/MACP or reinvent inspection standards. We’re focused on helping teams get more value from the standards they already use.

That means:

  • Supporting standardized inspection outputs

  • Making inspection results easier to visualize in GIS

  • Helping inspection data show up at the right moments in planning conversations

NASSCO membership reflects that alignment. We believe standards are most powerful when they’re not trapped in static reports or spreadsheets but instead flow naturally into the tools utilities already rely on.

Supporting Defensible, Transparent Planning

One of the biggest challenges we see isn’t collecting inspection data, it’s explaining it.

Why is this pipe a priority? Why now? How confident are we in the underlying information?

Standardized inspection data plays a critical role in answering those questions. When inspection outputs are consistent and accessible, it’s easier to:

  • Communicate priorities internally

  • Align engineering, operations, and leadership

  • Support funding and capital planning discussions

NASSCO’s focus on consistency and best practices aligns directly with our goal of helping utilities make decisions they can stand behind.

Being Part of the Industry Conversation

Joining NASSCO also means being part of the broader sewer and stormwater community, learning from utilities, engineers, inspectors, and technology providers who are all working through similar challenges.

We see this membership as an opportunity to listen, collaborate, and continue improving how inspection data supports real-world decision-making.

What This Means for Our Clients

For our clients and partners, NASSCO membership reinforces a simple idea:

PipeAid is built to work within established standards, not around them.

We’re proud to join NASSCO and to continue supporting inspection programs that value quality, consistency, and clarity from the field to the planning table.
